簡介
海雲臺海水浴場是韓國最有名的海水浴場。新羅時期（BC57－AD935）的學者崔致遠（857－？）先生在山茶島附近散步時，感慨於這裏的美麗景色，就在山茶島上的一塊岩石上刻下了海雲臺三個字，於是就有了海雲臺這一名字。海雲臺長1.5公里，寬30－50米，面積58400平方米，可容納12萬餘人。沙灘的沙子粗糙而乾淨，黏在身上不易掉落，是從春川江流入的沙子與貝殼經長年的風化作用而形成的。
海雲臺海濱浴場每年都要舉行各種文化活動及慶典。海雲臺海濱浴場內還有民俗體驗場（蹺蹺板、摔跤、投壺、拔河、尤茨遊戲等）、海邊文化館、海邊圖書館等。每年7－8月國內外的許多遊客都來這裏享受海水浴。
